Some Common Questions & Straight Answers

Q: Do you ask for money in order to heal people like many TV evangelists and faith healers do today?
A: We do not require a donation or that you join our organization. You also will never see anyone in our organization "Heal" people. The power to heal belongs solely to the Holy Spirit.

The New Testament examples of healing by Jesus and the Apostles never included any request for money. In fact, in the one instance that money is mentioned, it is of a crippled man begging money from Peter. Look at Acts 3:2-8.

2 There, at the Temple gate called Beautiful Gate, was a man who had been crippled all his life. Every day he was carried to this gate to beg for money from the people going into the Temple.
3 The man saw Peter and John going into the Temple and asked them for money.
4 Peter and John looked straight at him and said, "Look at us!"
5 The man looked at them, thinking they were going to give him some money.
6 But Peter said, "I don't have any silver or gold, but I do have something else I can give you. By the power of Jesus Christ from Nazareth, stand up and walk!"
7 Then Peter took the man's right hand and lifted him up. Immediately the man's feet and ankles became strong.
8 He jumped up, stood on his feet, and began to walk. He went into the Temple with them, walking and jumping and praising God.
Acts 3:2-8 (NCV)

Although we do not require it, we do graciously accept donations and "love offerings". This is the only source of income for the ministry and the Bible states a workman is worthy of his hire. In addition to all the expenses every ministry has, travel is expensive and takes a large part of our budget so we would appreciate any amounts you wish to give to help the ministry receive the support it needs to continue operating.

We have chosen not to sell CDs, Books or other merchandise that is not required for Encounter Healing seminars. God has told us to concentrate on what He has given us to do and not to become entangled in all that other stuff which would draw our attention away from our commission.

Q: Can you lose your healing?
A: There is no question that God can heal miraculously, that He has done so down through the ages and continues to do so today. He is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow.

In Acts 3:2-8 there is no caution by Peter that the man needed "great faith." In fact, there is no indication that the man had any faith at all. He wasn't expecting a healing, and he didn't ask for a healing. And there is no insistence by Peter to the man that he'd better be sure to stay in "positive confession" about his healing or he would lose it.

Also, look at Luke 17:11-19.

11 Now on his way to Jerusalem, Jesus traveled along the border between Samaria and Galilee.
12 As he was going into a village, ten men who had leprosy met him. They stood at a distance
13 and called out in a loud voice, "Jesus, Master, have pity on us!"
14 When he saw them, he said, "Go, show yourselves to the priests." And as they went, they were cleansed.
15 One of them, when he saw he was healed, came back, praising God in a loud voice.
16 He threw himself at Jesus' feet and thanked him-and he was a Samaritan.
17 Jesus asked, "Were not all ten cleansed? Where are the other nine?
18 Was no one found to return and give praise to God except this foreigner?"
19 Then he said to him, "Rise and go; your faith has made you well."

Notice that all 10 lepers were healed, but only one returned to say thank you and praise God. Yet there is no indication that the other 9 lost their healing.

When the Holy Spirit healed people through Jesus and the Apostles, they stayed healed. There is no evidence leading us to believe anything else. And since we are to continue Jesus' work, healing being a part of that, then there is no reason to believe that you would lose your healing today either.

In the King James, it says "Thy faith hath made thee whole." The word whole in the Greek is sozo. This word is usually translated "save" and "saved" as in Romans 10:9: "...if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved." In the context of the healing of the ten lepers, the Samaritan's thankfulness brought him a wholeness that the other nine did not receive. The Message offers this rendering: "Your faith has healed and saved you." All ten kept their healing, but only this one received the full blessing that God had in store for him.

Again, I say, you will never see anyone in our organization "Heal" people. The power to heal belongs solely to the Holy Spirit. It appears that when the Holy Spirit chooses to exercise healing that it does not matter what your religious affiliation is, what your race is, what your age is or even if you attend church at all. For when the Holy Spirit chooses to exercise healing one thing is for certain; you will be healed!

Q: Can you guarantee that I will be healed?
A: I can make only one guarantee. When the Holy Spirit chooses to exercise healing it does not matter what your religious affiliation is, what your race is, what your age is or even if you attend church at all; when the Holy Spirit chooses to exercise healing one thing is for certain; you will be healed!

No one in our organization "Heals" anyone. It is not up to us. The power to heal belongs solely to the Holy Spirit.

Even Jesus, by His own admission, could not heal anyone by His own power and will.

"I tell you the truth; the Son can do nothing by himself;
He can do only what he sees his Father doing,
because whatever the Father does the Son also does."
John 5:19 (NIV)

So to answer your question in the manner it was intended, NO, we can not and do not guarantee healing for anyone. This is not because we don't want to. It is solely because it is beyond our ability and authority. The power to heal belongs solely to the Holy Spirit. Sometimes, if we are blessed, we get to participate by cooperating with the Spirit and allowing Him to work through us and with us to bring healing to the individuals He chooses.

Q: Do you contact the people who participate directly, trying to get them to donate to your ministry or to join your organization?
A: We do not contact anyone to solicit money or membership from them. We strongly believe it is the responsibility of the local church to take care of the people God sends to you.

We do not have a "church" or organization that people can "belong" to as that is not what God has called us to do. The people in our organization have been called to healing ministry. We are presenters of a seminar entitled "Encounter Healing."

Encounter is a word that implies a face to face meeting; a time when we come close to our heavenly father. The main goal of this seminar is to help facilitate opportunities for God's people to meet Him, maybe for the first time, as "Jehovah Rapha" (The Lord Who Heals You).

In these uncertain days, people are yearning to encounter something bigger than themselves and their everyday lives. I feel our responsibility is to SHOW them our GOD.

Healing ministry is experiencing a renewal as Christians around the world discover that Christ's commission was meant for them and for the lost and hurting of this world. With Biblical truths and "hands on" workshops, "Encounter Healing" helps prepare churches to "equip the saints" for ministry in the supernatural of God.

"Encounter Healing" is designed to be presented in a one day seminar and followed up with an Encounter Healing Service following the seminar later that evening. This puts to immediate use the relevant techniques taught in the seminar. It releases the Holy Spirit into the churches that receive Him.

The program is also designed so that your "Encounter Healing" prayer team can share the information with other churches in your area and continue to facilitate ever growing opportunities for more of God's people to "Encounter" Christ in a whole new way. God has given us compassion for the lost and hurting of this world and has used healing as a powerful evangelistic tool. The old saying, "They don't care how much you know until they know how much you care" holds especially true in the arena of Healing Evangelism.

God uses us more or less as a catalyst, presenting the first seminar or two in each area and then releasing the Holy Spirit to cooperate with each prayer team and take it from there.

So, no we are not out to grab people from you. We feel very strongly that your local church should serve the people in your area. We also feel very strongly that what you have received you should share with other churches in your area and allow them to serve the people that come to their church or are in their neighborhoods as God intended.

The ‘CHURCH" should work together in peace and harmony and that is why we have chosen to follow God's leading and present this seminar in the way He has directed us to.
